“Just—Just get in the shower,” he mutters, pulling back the
shower curtain.
“Why are you doing all this?”
A pensive look crosses his face. “All of what?”
“This!” I wave my hands around. “Holding that nice old
couple at gunpoint, in here with me. All of it?”
His eyes rake over me, and he shrugs. “So you could shower.”
“So you kidnapped a little old couple so I could shower?”
“Yep!”
It’s wrong, so wrong. Yet, I feel my chest tighten with
longing and adoration. I like it. WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME? I can’t help my
attraction to him. His stare is cold, his calloused hands rough, but his draw
is soft and alluring.
“You going to get in?” He flicks a brow at me.

Mercy was fast paced and action packed. We even got to see our favourite guys from the Devil's Dust. I thought M.N. Forgy did a great job of keeping things realistic, or as realistic as you can get with these things. By this I mean, she wrote Jillian's reactions to things perfectly; she had and spoke her opinion on matters rather than just taking on the chin whatever Zeek threw at her. Brilliant. Even the events at the Devil's Dust clubhouse were just how I thought they should be.
I don't know if any more books are planned for the Sin City Outlaws or not, I hope there are, but this was ended in such a way that it could be done and dusted with the two books, or there is a lead in for the next one.
Safe to say I loved Mercy, and I give it a big fat 5 stars.
This is the second and final part of Zeek and Jillian's story.
We ended up with them going on the run and that's where this one picked up and it didn't slow down at all. We get to see the Devil's Dust (LOVE THEM), some really freaking hot sexy time, like major hot, and there is some pay back.
Jillian is struggling with who she is (a cop) and loving an outlaw. Zeek just wants Jillian to be safe... and his, that is if he can manage to get her to forgive him. The story of good vs evil and who wins in the end is an awesome ride. I can not wait to see what M.N. Forgy comes up with next. I give this 5 stars.
