Carnie and Wendy have turned up at the clubhouse after discovering Bobby (the enemy in Boink's book) is out to kill Carnie after her "betrayal". Not knowing where else to go, the sisters run to the Fallen Lords where Freak is assigned to be Carnie's shadow. All is going well between the two, they're becoming friends with a definite attraction between the pair, until Freak finds out Carnie is only 20 and turns cold on her. Will Freak be able to get over his issue with her age before Bobby catches up to her? Will it even be Carnie who gets targeted when Bobby finally makes his move?
This was a really good story and I read it in one sitting. I loved Freak and Carnie's chemistry and how their whole relationship played out, and omg to the set up for the next book. I can't wait for that one! I give Freak 5 stars.

When Carnie's drama has her running to the Fallen Lords clubhouse, she knows they will help... she just didn't expect a babysitter. Freak has seen it before, the guys that were roped into babysitting a chick that had drama and then falling head over heals with the chick and living... somewhat happily ever after. Freak wasn't on board with that plan, but once he got a good look at Carnie and got to know her and her sassiness, he was 100% on board with that plan. What happens when he realizes just how old she is? Will Freak let their age difference keep them apart?
I love how Winter Travers writes, the humor that she puts into her stories that has the characters coming to life on page is truly a gift! This may be the seventh book in this series, but the drama, funny times, and super steamy naughty bits just keep on coming. I give this 5 stars.
Winter Travers is a devoted wife, mother, and aunt turned author who was born and raised in Wisconsin. After a brief stint in South Carolina following her heart to chase the man who is now her hubby, they retreated back up North to the changing seasons, and the place they now call home.
