A few moments later there is a Molson beer next to me, picking
it up, I bring the bottle to my lips, my eyes never leaving Lea, not for a
fucking second. Her gaze doesn’t leave mine either, and regardless of the
purpling on her cheek, she’s a fucking beautiful sight to behold.
She’s wild in a way that I never imagined she would be. Her
arms slowly raise above her head, her tits pushing out as her back arches and a
couple inches of her smooth stomach exposed.
She’s too young.
I shouldn’t be looking at her the way that I am. My cock
shouldn’t be hard beneath the denim of my jeans. Lea licks her lips as she
slowly climbs down from the table once the song has ended.
A couple of men try to stop her, but she ignores them, her
eyes for me and me only. That right there, that makes my cock hard as goddamn

This is so bittersweet; I am sad the series is now completed but boy what a way to end. Lea had loved Baby since she was a teenager but she was only looked at as a kid of a brother by club member, Baby/Mitchell. After getting into some trouble, Lea is sent away to school but after thinking it would be too hard to see Baby and not be able to have him, she decides to stay in Alberta and doesn't return home once she graduates. Jumping ahead 6 years, Lea is now grown, Baby is in a miserable situation and Lea still pines for him despite their years apart. Events are occurring though that will have her reaching out for help, and Baby finally realising that enough is enough with his situation; he will find a way out and claim the girl he finally gets to look at as a woman.
This was such a good read with lots of drama putting the club into action one final time, loads of steamy stuff going on as the pair began a relationship and it was so gripping I literally did not put this book down until I had finished it. What a ride Hayley Faiman took us on with this series and the original Notorious Devils series; one I highly recommend you read if you haven't already. As I say a fond farewell to these guys I give Mixed with Trouble 5 stars.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
As an only child, Hayley Faiman had to entertain herself
somehow. She started writing stories at the age of six and never really
stopped.
Born in California, she met her now husband at the age of
sixteen and married him at the age of twenty in 2004. After all of these years
together, he’s still the love of her life.
Hayley’s husband joined the military and they lived in
Oregon,where he was stationed with the US Coast Guard. They moved back to
California in 2006, where they had two little boys. Recently, the four of them
moved out to the Hill Country of Texas, where they adopted a new family member,
a chocolate lab named Optimus Prime.
Most of Hayley’s days are spent taking care of her two boys,
going to the baseball fields for practice, or helping them with homework. Her
evenings are spent with her husband and her nights—those are spent creating
alpha book boyfriends.
