Title: Rough and Ready

Author: Hayley Faiman
Genre: MC Romance

Cleo Hill is a married woman, in love with a man she's never really known—her husband, whom she hasn't seen in eleven years.
Paxton "Torch" Hill is a Notorious Devil, a man who's been wrestling with his personal demons since before he knew the horrors of war.
When a threat against his club means danger could be lurking around his estranged wife's door, Paxton is determined to protect her. Yet, one look at the woman he left behind, and he knows his plans are about to change.
The past is not an easy thing to forget, especially not for a woman scorned. While Cleo isn't the innocent catch he once knew, there's something about that rough and ready man she's not sure she can deny.
After all—they promised each other forever.

She’s a Lip Biter -“This is the first book by this author that I have read or devoured! It won't be the last by a long shot!”

Alpha Book Club - “The author kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. Let me tell you, emotional rollercoaster. It was up and down, forward and backward.”

(4.5 Stars)

In the last book, we saw Torch find out where his wife is after he moved from the Idaho chapter to the California mother chapter, worried that she may be in danger due to the trouble the club was getting from The Cartel.
I'm going to start by saying that for the first 50% or so, I really didn't like Paxton/Torch. After getting his back story, and his behaviour when he saw Cleo again after 11 long years, I really think Cleo did well not telling him to just F right off and leave her alone.

It's going to take a lot of work for Torch to get Cleo to not only listen to him, but after he takes one look at his wife again after so long and realises just what a mistake he made, for him to get her to give him another chance.

I can't really say much else without giving spoilers, so I'll just say that I enjoyed it, but I think Paxton's behaviour put me off him a bit. I loved the story though, and Lisandro and Theo were awesome. I can't wait to read the next book and find out just what's going on with Genny and Soar. As for Rough & Ready though, I'm going to give it 4.5 instead of my usual 5, purely because Torch's behaviour at the beginning started to grate on me after a while.
