Title: I'm Only Here For The Beard
Series: The Dixie Warden Rejects #4
Author: Lani Lynn Vale
Genre: MC Romance
Sean is a man with needs—needs that a lot of women were ready and willing to fulfill. Yet, the only woman that he wants to fulfill them dumped him for another man. A man who’s a member of his MC and is someone he has to see every single day and twice on Sundays.
He’s bitter and angry. He’s definitely not in the right frame of mind when it comes to dealing with women. Which is unfortunate for his new partner, Naomi, a fresh-out-of-school and totally green paramedic.
---
Naomi’s got enough problems on her plate. A brother who’s self-destructive and doesn’t care who he takes down with him. A man who she’s in love with but who doesn’t love her. A job that she hates because it is a constant reminder of what she can’t have.
Desperate to distance herself from her problems, she runs, taking the first job in her field that she finds willing to take on someone with so little experience.
The last thing she needs is a perpetually pissed off partner, especially when he sets her blood on fire.
But life doesn’t ask how much you can handle when it dishes out challenges. It just keeps piling them on until you’ve bested them or you’ve buckled under them.
---
Sean really doesn’t want to like his new partner, Naomi. He just wants to be left alone to live his life however he damn well pleases and without complications.
Naomi doesn’t care what he wants, she can’t be anything but herself. It isn’t long before she’s breaking down his walls and making him feel again. She’s trying to pull him closer and he’s pushing her away.
It’s not long before Sean sees the error of his ways.
It’s too bad, though, that by the time he realizes she’s the one, Naomi’s already gone.

I know I say this all the time, but you really DO need to read the previous books, from like all her series. LOL there are a lot of returning characters in this book, and it was so good to see them, so to speak.
We first met Sean in Downy & Memphis' book, and then we could see a glimpse of his women issues, well his luck, sadly, hasn't changed. The last book already let us know of an issue between him and Ellen, mainly someone else coming into Ellen's life. Now, Sean is heartbroken and a little betrayed, but like Dory he just keeps swimming, until one day his new partner, Naomi, makes him take notice.
Naomi we have met before in Aspen and Drew's book, although she has been in other books, just their story we got to see more of her. Naomi has what has to be the worst luck going, so she decides its time for a fresh start, and moves. Her new partner is Sean and she will do her best to stay out of his radar; in fact she does her best to just do her job and stay out of everyone's way. Sean finally decides to make a move on her, but as is the way with things, he proceeds to push her to the breaking point and she decides she will give him his space and leave. Now Sean has to figure out how to get her back and hope its not too late.
This movie that I get in my head every time I read a LLV book, just keeps getting better and better. She makes me cry, laugh, pissed and flushed and this can all be in the same freaking chapter! This was once again an amazing read and I loved everything about it. I am wondering about a timeline issue, but I'll figure that out when I reread. 5 stars all the way.
