This is part of a series, and for this to be the best book that it can be, I do highly suggest reading the previous book in this series and the series that this "spun off" of. We have watched Devon and Poppy do this dance around each other since they were introduced several books ago, but we also know that when that happened Poppy was very young and Devon wasn't even a prospect yet, just Hatch's nephew. Devon knew that there are lines that you don't cross, ever. Poppy was hands off, and Devon made sure that it wasn't just him that was hands off through the years.
When Poppy pushes Devon too far one night, he makes sure to shut it down and fast, which leads Poppy to avoiding him, and leaving to go to the east coast for college. When the time comes for Poppy to come back, Devon knows that if he stays he will cross that line. So to save them both, he decides to head to the east coast to the Savannah chapter. What he doesn't expect to see when he gets there is Poppy partying right along with the club. Temptation is so close that he can taste her lips, will Devon give in to what they both want? Will this relationship get a chance to work or will the club be too much of a priority for Devon?
This was such a good read! Finally seeing Poppy push Devon to his breaking point was freaking awesome. Piper Davenport gives us all the ingredients of a kick butt MC story; hot sexy times, drama, and some violence with bad guys. I give this 5 stars.
