Reckoning is Katya and Slasher/Junior’s story. We have met Katya
briefly as she is Dimitri’s sister that is married to a Russian mafia boss, and
Slasher is the MC sort-of-brother who was taken along with Bellamy in her and
Butch’s book. There is more to Katya than what there appeared to be in Dimitri’s
book, but I can’t really say anything more about it without giving away the
story, we just know that Dimitri and their sister Ksenia are not exactly happy
to see her. As for Slasher, we saw him get beaten and disfigured while Bellamy
had to watch, thus bonding them in a way that when Slasher felt he couldn’t take
it anymore and left the club he didn’t really belong to, he only kept in touch
with her. Feeling the need to return to his friend though has him literally bumping
in Katya and his life takes a whole new direction completely.
There was quite a surprise turn of events at the end of this
book that has me eager for the next instalment to see how everything is going
to play out. I liked these two as a couple, and the story was good and dragged
me into it, but I do prefer when there is a little more MC action than there
was in this one, this one was more mafia/mob based. I enjoyed it though, a short,
fast paced read, I give Reckoning 4 stars.
