Blurb

Bold and brash, Eva MacAteer has spent her life working in her blue-collar family’s construction business. In doing so, she’s had to fight for her own place away from her overbearing father, as well as for her own identity as a woman. Struggling between her loyalty to her brothers and her desire to strike out to be her own person, Eva knows one thing for certain: getting involved with a womanizer, no matter how hot he may be, is not the path for her.

Stud is not one to be tied down to any woman. Fiercely loyal to the club and his single ways, the last thing he expects is to become fascinated by the fiery Eva. He sees his own life reflected in hers and is not quite sure how to handle the connection.

Can two mismatched people find enough common ground to overcome their fears and allow love to grow?

(4.5 Stars)

I am so glad this series caught my eye. I enjoyed Mute, with his mysteriousness and the way he and Kat got to their HEA, so I was expecting good things from the next book. Stud let me down a little in Mute's book with the way he acted after the accident, so I was happy to see he was book two in the series and I would get to see if he would redeem himself to me or not. Well he did... for the most part. To find out his back story and to see him paired up with feisty, down to earth, Irish blooded Eva was brilliant. I thought these two together were fab and fun but there were a couple of times I wanted to slap Stud before they became a couple properly. Eva, how she stayed with her family as long as she did I don't know. Well I guess I do because at the end of the day, family is family, but wow she put up with a LOT from them.

A little bit of drama, some sweet and sexy times and Stud was a very enjoyable read. No MC action in this one but it wasn't needed, although it was good to see the guys again. I can't wait for book three and give Stud 4.5 stars.

(5 Stars)

The second book of the Dragon Runners MC, and just so you know who everyone is and all that jazz, I would recommend reading Mute. In Mute we met Stud and his manwhorish ways, never just one girl would do. Eva is part of the construction crew that was hired to rebuild the bar. This was her life, with her father and her five brothers, they move from place to place, from job to job. For Eva, she never really had a chance to bond with anyone that wasn't her brothers and she is only really close to just one of them. So the Dragon Runners MC is a new concept to her, how nice and welcoming they are, and how nice it is to have female friends. When she starts to have a friendship with Stud, she quickly realizes that for Stud a friendship is all he is capable of. When another brother shows Eva interest and makes it clear that he is up for having something serious with her, will she give him that opportunity? or will Stud make it clear that he is the one that will be serious about Eva?

So, while this was a really good story, I didn't find it as amazing as I found Mute. A few times Stud really got on my nerves and showed his true self. Finding out his backstory was truly eye opening. I also felt that maybe something more about Eva's family was needed, but who knows maybe they are getting their own books. This had some really good drama, and it did end up being a quick and entertaining read, so I give this 5 stars.

Author Bio

ML Nystrom had stories in her head since she was a child. All sorts of stories of fantasy, romance, mystery and anything else that captured her interest.  A voracious reader, she’s spent many hours devouring books; therefore, she found it only fitting she should write a few herself!

ML has spent most of my life as a performing musician and band instrument repair technician, but that doesn’t mean she’s pigeon-holed into one mold.  She’s been a university professor, belly dancer, craftsperson, soap maker, singer, rock band artist, jewelry maker, lifeguard, swim coach, and whatever else she felt like exploring.  As one of her students said to her once, "Life’s too short to ignore the opportunities."  She has no intention of ever stopping... so welcome to her story world. She hopes you enjoy it!
