Color Blind does need to be read before Rules of Submission, this is a different couple, but the situation they are dealing with started in Color Blind and they are dealing with the aftermath in this book. Color Blind took us on a twist and turn journey, not just for Liz and Iz but also for Candace and Lang. Now they have to deal with the aftermath of everything that happened. Candace having to deal with everything that she has learned as well as healing from her injuries. Lang having took one look at Candace knew that she was his, so took the opportunity after she was released from the rehab center to move her in with him. The two are still very much learning about each other, and when Candace learns that Lang is a Dom, she is very open to learning about the submissive side of things. More than happy to show her, Lang and Candace start to dive deeper into their relationship, but is Candace using this new way of life to avoid the real problems?  In a relationship that is based on trust and honesty, how will Lang feel when he learns that Candace is hiding a secret from him?

I loved the BDSM aspect of this story, the way it was played out was done very well and tasteful. In this series there is a lot of back to the past scenes, some I felt were very prudent to the storyline, while others just weren't necessary. I understood why Tillie was mentioned but I truly didn't see how the majority of the past glimpses with her were important to the storyline. This has major drama, danger, violence, some spankings but only the good kind, and some really steamy bits. I give this 4 stars.

Leigh Lennon is mother, veteran and a wife of a cancer survivor. Originally with a degree in education, she started writing as an outlet that has led to a deep passion. She lugs her computer with her as she crafts her next story. One could say she loves pretty nails, big earrings and spiky hair. She can be found drinking coffee or wine, depending on the time of the day.
