Flint Stone is a professional in every way.
He’s a police officer with the K-9 unit and works at Gun Barrel High as the school resource officer. In his spare time, he’s working his heart out to create a successful gym from the ground up.
He’s loved by every single person he ever encounters—student, faculty, and employees—Everyone but Camryn Elvis Presley.
The only thing they have in common is their mothers’ poor excuses for names.
Period. The end.
So why is it every time she crosses his path that he has the urge to mess up her perfectly curled hair? Or unbutton a few of her prim and proper buttons?
He knows he should stay away, yet like the high schoolers he’s around every day, he has no choice but to react first and think about the consequences later.
Side note—bad decisions are made, leading to lapses in judgment that threaten both of their jobs. Yet when the time comes, neither one can seem to find the wherewithal to care. Why? Because being bad feels so good.

The second book in the Southern Gentleman series, and true to LLV fashion they just suck you in. This series is not intertwined with the previous ones, so this is the perfect time to jump into this series and get a taste of what LLV can do, if you haven't already fallen in love with her stories that is. Camryn tries to keep her distance from Flint, between the fact that she doesn't really care for him, his dog scares the bejeezus out of her, and that he always seems to annoy her are all good reasons. When Raleigh drags her to a CrossFit class that Flint just so happens to teach, Camryn is one step from leaving, until Flint goads her into staying. Flint knows exactly what he is doing, even though he shouldn't be pushing every one of her buttons and thoroughly enjoying it. When Flint decides that enough is enough and he is tired of playing around, he makes his move. But will the outside obstacles make it harder?
I loved everything about Camryn and Flint's story. This sucked me in and had some really good laugh out loud moments. Add in some super steamy bits and this became the amazing read it is. I give this 5 stars.

Officer Flint Stone (yes he's really called that, lol) is hurt that Camryn seems pretty much afraid of him every time she sees him, not realising it's actually his K-9 partner, Dooley, that she's really afraid of after an incident when she was a teenager. High School teacher Camryn, joins the gym with her bestie, Raleigh (from book one), the gym that the hottie school resource officer at her school owns, and she can't believe it when he actually acts nicely towards her. Flint is sick of waiting, he wants Camryn and is determined to find out what scares her about him so he can deal with the issue and make her his. There are just a few obstacles in his way, say for instance a crazy obsessive ex who hates Camryn, Camryn's issues with his dog and oh, you know, the fact someone has it out for him.
Yet again LLV has given us another great read that grabs you and doesn't let you go until you're finished. I can't wait for the next one and give Lord Have Mercy 5 stars.
