New Release & REVIEW ***ICED by Jacob Chance***

Title: ICED
Series: Boston Terriers Hockey
Author: Jacob Chance
Genre: Sports Romance
Release Date: November 1, 2019

Oliver Ice, one of Boston University’s notorious hockey players, has been on my radar since I slammed into his rock-hard body during my first week of college, three years ago. He helped me to my feet, muttered an apology, and ran off after his girlfriend, dashing my hopes of a happily ever after.

Now, he’s the bartender where I work, and this time, very much single. Night after night I watch the tall, broad, and sexy right winger mixing drinks and being Mr. Personality, while I remind myself how horribly my last relationship ended.

But when Oliver overhears a private conversation, he offers to be the one thing I need more than anything-- my pretend boyfriend at a dreaded family reunion.
One weekend was all it was meant to be.

How do I protect my fragile heart when the lines between fantasy and reality blur with our first kiss?

(4 stars)

The first time Ava saw Oliver, it was crush at first sight, but Oliver only had eyes for his girlfriend. Now, three years later Oliver has broken up with his girlfriend, and both him and Ava now work at the same club. After seeing Ava dance for the first time, Oliver finds himself interested in the first person since the his breakup. Ava is also getting over a breakup, and still is harboring that crush on Oliver, but she has no urge to get back into anything serious and risk that hurt again. When Oliver finds out about Ava's need for a fake boyfriend, he jumps at the chance to at least spend time with her.  But the weekend together proves that they have chemistry and leaves each wanting more. Will they let go of the past and move forward together? Or will they let this chance pass them by?

After the amazingness of book one, this for me was a bit of a let down. It was still a good read, but not the amazing one that I was hoping it would be. With drama, the naughty bits (when they finally happened) were steamy, and some hockey, this was an entertaining read. I give this 4 stars.
