Lana and her two besties are finishing up a girls trip, and wouldn't you know it, just as they are on the way to the airport is when she notices a guy that is worth noticing. Somehow a quick trip to the airport turns into a detour that has them ending up in a crash in the middle of nowhere. When Lana wakes up, she finds out that the crash was unavoidable and it was planned, the stakes sticking out of the shredded tires being the clue. Now, Lana, her besties and the rest of the people that are on this bus are stuck trying to figure out what to do. They have found themselves in some sort of twisted game, something like a mix of Deliverance and The Most Dangerous Game. Somehow in the midst of this, she gravitates towards Ciaran. There is something about him, something that draws her to him, even if she doesn't want it. Can they get through the Devils playground alive?
Holy crap what a twist! I love reading all the twisted stuff that Natalie Bennett can give us. This story pulls you in and has you hanging on for every twisted word. It was a horror story, that came back to haunt me in my dreams when it was all said and done. Violence, danger, drama, some really awful nasty stuff, and some really good nasty stuff; I give this 5 stars.
