What inspired you to write your first novel?
Believe it or not, my life... I’ve lead a very
interesting life indeed.
Is anything in your books based on true life?
Yes lol, I draw a lot from personnel experience.
What books/authors have influenced you personally?
Author wise, has to me the Grandmaster of Action and
Adventure Clive Cussler and also Ian Fleming.
What author/s would you fangirl over?
Clive Cussler, when he actually friended me, I swear I
nearly wet my pants, I actually woke my husband up to tell him, he is also his
favourite author too, so he totally understood where I was coming from.
Any new authors interested you lately?
Yes, there are some lovely new people to add to the
reading shelves. Unfortunately I don’t get a chance to read much now, when I
did, it was more reference books or Bio’s or something historical.
On the occasions you get to read yourself, who do you
read?
Clive Cussler, or I am actually reading Nick Mason’s
wordage on his days with Pink Floyd, which is my travel read and yes it’s in
paperback lol.
Outside family, who do you feel has supported you on
your journey as a writer?
I am very blessed to have the inner circle I do, my FB
family <3
Given the chance would you go back and change anything
in one of your books?
Hahahaha I just did actually with my first two books,
the How to Catch Butterflies. I am very happy with what I have only just
re-released.
What is the most challenging aspect of writing for you?
Well I have dyslexia, so that really. I have the right
words, just in the wrong places, and I have been known by my poor editors to be
the comma queen hahahaha.
Do you do a lot of research for your books, or is it
all from your heart and mind?
Yes I research all my military stuff for what I don’t
know already. But I do love researching.
Do you have a favourite time/place to write?
Yes, I am a nocturnal creature and it appears so is my
creativity.
Do you have any bad writing habits?
Yes, smoking and adapting the old writers pose of
cigarette unlit, hanging in mouth as I thrash at the keyboard like a possessed
woman.
What are you currently working on and could you share
a snippet?
I’ve just released a New Title in the ‘Wee Bookie of
Nookie Series’ called...From A to B, which came out on the 6th July.
“What do you want?” asked the busty
brunette that Rubin had his eye on, as she stood conveniently next to the
blonde.
Rubin stopped his dancing, staring at the
two seriously, his hand rubbing his chin. The girls looked between each other.
Now he knew he had their full attention.
“What do you want?” She repeated her
question again, but more impatiently.
“I’m just wondering,” he pointed the neck
of the lager bottle between the blonde and the brunette. “Which one of you is
the ‘one’ my mother warned me about?” He winked as he beamed a cheeky, knowing
smile at them.
As he anticipated, the line worked wonders,
as it had done many other times. The two looked between themselves and smiled
knowingly at each other.
“Alegria,” the brunette extended her hand,
which Rubin took and kissed it like he was Prince Charming. He didn’t even look
back and see, to know that Duncan
“Beatrice,” giggled the blonde as she too
extended her hand. “But my friends call me B,” she smiled coyly.
“Rubin Miller,” he purred, thickening his
Scottish accent winking again at them.
He watched as they melted when he spoke.
“You’re Scottish,” they almost squealed
excitedly.
“Aye,” smiled Rubin modestly.
“Are you studying here?” The brunette
asked.
“Aye,” as was his answer to the next few
questions...
