This is book one in the Impulse series, so this is perfect time to start reading this if you are a fan of Sierra Cartwright.

Master Nathaniel catches Alani, who is a professional sub; meaning she is employed by the club to play a sub... being unprofessional. He then proceeds to call her out on her unprofessionalism, but he can see that she is not being.... well tested with the happenings in the club, she seems unhappy.  Nathaniel feels there is much more to her then she is letting on.

Alani doesn't need Master Nathaniel butting in, everything is just fine, so what if she is a little bored with the last Master she worked with. When Nathaniel gives her an ultimatum of sorts will Alani take a chance, even if it means opening herself up?

So this being of the BDSM genre we get some really good sexy time scenes, hot, steamy, and not boring like I have found in some. I personally didn't feel the connect between the characters, the story line just sort of fell flat for me. I found myself not liking Alani all that much. This has a bit of drama, some spankings all the right kind. I give it 3.75 stars.
