What’s wrong with my butt?
She means those words to be directed toward the woman beside her, not him. But he can’t stop himself
from answering. Not when her ass is the most magnificent thing he’s seen in his life.
Apparently, answering her with ‘not a damn thing’ wasn’t what she was expecting.
She likely wasn’t expecting the baseball she took to the face at his next at bat, either.
All it takes is one ill-fated foul ball, and George Hoffman, Lumberjacks center fielder, falls head over
heels in love with Wrigley Field—and yes, that is her real name.
From that point forward, George and Wrigley fall into a fast whirlwind love that ends with them eloping
to Vegas. And he has his potty mouth, titty bar owning, pain in the ass grandmother to thank for it.
Not that he’s complaining or anything.
Who wouldn’t want to be married to a woman that made his heart race like he was in the final game of
the World Series?
The only problem is trying to convince her of that.

We're back to the baseball series with this one, and this is Furious George's story. After seeing Wrigley in the stands at one of his games, a little flirting ensues, swiftly followed by George hitting the ball right in her face and knocking her out.. oops. After being dragged to watch the Longview Lumberjacks by her baseball fanatic sister, Diamond, the last thing Wrigley expected was to a, take a baseball to the face, and b, start something with one of the sexy players on the team. It doesn't take long at all until the relationship has moved forward at warp speed and the two have done the old drunken wedding in Vegas thing... again, oops! lol. Will the pair make it through after such a fast tracked start, especially when events happen to make the high they're riding, all come crashing down?

I really do love these books by Lani Lynn Vale. There's just something about them that really drags me in and the next thing I know I have finished the book. Humour, drama and sexy times and I give Quit Your Pitchin' 5 stars.

The second book of the There's No Cryin in Baseball series, and this makes me want to become a baseball fan! We met Furious George in the first book, and this is about how he met the love of his life. He hit the ball that hit her in the face. After making sure she was alright, he walks away but this is not the last that she will hear from him. Wrigley and George then dive into a whirlwind relationship that ends up with them married... the problem comes after all that, when real life intrudes and starts to create issues for the couple. Will they be able to work out their problems or is their relationship doomed?

I loved everything about this story. The fact that it hurt my heart, made me laugh, tear up a little bit, get a little hot, and root for the guy to get his girl. This book sucks you in and doesn't let go until the last word! An amazing read, I give this 5 stars.
