There’s not a single second that they’re in each other’s presence that they’re not at each other’s throats.

But all it takes is hearing that she’s in trouble for Linc to drop every single thing—football and MC duties alike—and head to her side.

A side that he’ll remain at until they either kill each other, or finally give into the heat between them.

Either way you look at it, he’s well and truly screwed.

Awww we finally get to read about Lincoln and Conleigh; I've been waiting for this book since Law & Beard when we saw 16 year old Conleigh meet Linc at an MC gathering with her parents. Linc is now an NFL player and Conleigh is a nurse, they still have contact by the odd text message but that's it since their false start at a relationship many years earlier. They still adore each other, they still want each other, but both resist; Linc out of respect for Steel/Big Papa, Conleigh's stepfather's wishes and Conleigh due to the fear of him breaking her heart again. Linc decides time's up though, he's not waiting any longer to claim what's his, he just has to convince Conleigh that she's his now and Conleigh has to learn to trust that Linc isn't going to walk away a second time.

I say this every time I read an LLV book but I'm going to say it again.. I love this world Lani Lynn Vale has created and my day gets forgotten while I devour these books. Another great read with the humour, drama and antics you come to expect from these guys. I can't wait for the next one. Talkin' Trash gets 5 stars from me.

Linc and Conleigh,  I just knew their story would be really good, and I wasn't wrong. As usual Lani Lynn Vale writes a story that sucks you in and has you so entranced in this book that the ending is a bit of a shock to the senses, like you weren't ready for it to be over! As my usual PSA, read the previous books people, that is part of what makes her books so freaking good. The build up, the other characters, not being confused as to who people are, where they fit in, things that have happened. The ride is so much better if you just read them in order!

Ok, so Linc knew with that one look years ago, that Conleigh was his, but as they were both very young and had a lot of things to finish (school and all that) so when he was warned off by BP/Steel of course he didn't bat an eye and knew this was for the better. But that doesn't mean that he was happy about it, just that he understood. Now, six years later, Linc is done waiting, he is going to make sure that Conleigh knows just how he feels and that she is his... the only issue will be the fact that he did a really good job in warning her off when he had to let her go. Can he get Conleigh to give him a second chance?

This was a really good story, I loved the action, drama, seeing all the characters that we "met" before, the naughty bits were smoking. I do wonder what happened to the baby that BP and Winnie were supposed to have in their epilogue, there was no mention of one. And that Conleigh's last name is the same as Linc's, that was a bit odd. But those are just things my OCD sees when it comes to books. This is a 5 star read, can't wait for the next book!
