He was my salvation.
Addalyn “Addie”
Blackfoot
I was somewhere I
shouldn’t have been, doing something I shouldn’t have been doing. As Tyler
Blackfoot’s daughter, I know better. There are expectations to being who I am,
but I’ve never fully lived up to them.
Adoption.
It’s supposed to be the answer to prayers – both for the parents and the child. Me? I’ve always felt a little out of place, like I couldn’t settle down, a flower blowing in the breeze, waiting to be uprooted.
Until the moment he stepped in front of me, taking the blade of the knife meant for me. I didn’t know his name, but the way he looked at me, it was like he knew all my secrets, but didn’t care. It was reckless and passionate, and I never thought of the consequences.
I figured after I got what I wanted from him, I could break it off and never see him again.
I was wrong…….
Wilder “Wild” Evans
She came into my life when I least expected it. Strong, fearless, and ready to take whatever the asshole holding the knife was going to dish out.
For months after, I couldn’t get enough of her. Her joy in life, the way her eyes lit up when she saw me, and the smile that popped dimples in her cheeks when she wasn’t paying attention. She calmed every part of a man who’d never had steady and I craved it.
Then it was gone. She became a different person, left without a trace, and ignored my texts.
Fate intervened, and I found her again.
I got my calm...
She got her wild...

First off, this is part of a series, book two to be exact, and this series is a spin off: my point being, you should really read the original series and then book one before even thinking of diving into this. This is one of those books that you will be very lost and confused as to how many characters are mentioned and things are mentioned from previous books and what not... I have read them all, and I was a bit confused since it has been awhile.
Addie feels a bit left out, Tatum is now doing her own thing, and Addie feels like she is being left behind and lonely, which at this young age is natural. So she makes a not so wise choice and goes to a bar (still unsure how she got in, or even was able to order a drink). Wild is down on his luck, having just up and left Mississippi since there was nothing left for him, his only destination is north. When his bike breaks down, he gets a bit of luck, as two guys stop and help, and not only do they help with his bike, but they end up helping him with a room for a bit, and a job working at the bar. When Addie strolls into the bar, everything in Wild takes notice. After flirting for a bit, Addie takes her leave and Wild is hopeful he will see her again, he never thought it would be first thing in the morning coming to get rent from the guy Wild is staying with. From that point on their paths keep crossing, but will Addie open up enough to let Wild in, or does she see him as just a fun time? How will the MC deal with someone taking up with a Princess when they are not part of the MC?
Every series has books that knock it out the park or the ones that are a bit of a miss, and for me this was a bit of a miss. Not saying this wasn't a good story, just that I know the author has done better and this was not IMO one of those better efforts. I felt that Addie was way to young to be in this type of relationship, proof was how she was acting over the Tatum/Remy thing. This was more a of build up for the next book than it was about Addie and Wild. There was drama, a few naughty bits, and the promise that the next book will be action packed. I give this 3.75 stars.
