‘You couldn’t ask for a more heartbreaking, loving, funny and all around emotionally great book!’
‘The heart of a broken man learning to love for the first time.’
‘Take 3 separate emotional people and make them into a great family.’
It was everything I didn’t know I wanted in a man, tall, tattooed, bossy.
His life is complicated. Married with a daughter. But things are not as they seem.
I didn’t want to love him. He kept trying to push me away but like a moth to the flame I kept being drawn to him.
I love him with all my heart, he is my life.
Life is complicated, love even more so.

Davan Part 1
(4 Stars)
Davan met the girl of his dreams at his sister's wedding. The only issue that he has is the fact that he is married to someone else. When Seraphina/Pia drags the perfect guy on the dance floor, she never imagined he was married, but thats how it always goes. The good ones are always taken. The two actually end up running into each other more than once, and each time leaves a bigger lasting impression than the last. Davan is beating himself up as he is supposed to be taking care of his wife and their daughter, and preparing for the inevitable future that is heading their way. Pia struggles with her thoughts as every time she see Davan, her thoughts turn up the heat in their naughtiness. Will Pia understand Davan's situation when she finds out more about it? Will anything come of the attraction the two have for each other?
So while this is the first part of Davan's story, there are previous stories for the other characters. I found this to just be an ok story, lots of drama, and lots of emotions with this read. EJ's situation hit just a little too close to home for me, that whole part of the story line emotionally wrecked me. You can actually understand Davan's whole dilemma and the tight spot that he was in. I give this 4 stars.
Davan Part 2
(4 Stars)
Now that I have had the chance to read them in order, book two starts up with Davan and Pia together and happy. But reality invades once again as EJ takes a turn for the worse and Davan has to be there for both EJ and Tilly. Pia, completely understanding of the situation is ready to help out in anyway that she can. But can Davan forgive himself for what he feels like is failure to help EJ, for the fact that he feels like he let EJ down in her time of need? Will he snap out of the funk before he loses Pia as well?
This whole book is a ball of emotions! This shows the natural grieving process and how not everyone grieves the same way. Once again lots of tears were shed while reading this story. I give this 4 stars.
My name is Penny Blush, I love all things book and book related. I’m hoping that the people who make the James Bond movies will call me to ask to use my name as the next Bond Girl *Fingers Crossed*
When I’m not hoping for the Bond people to contact me, I can usually be found with my nose in a book. Getting lost in a story or thinking about stories I would like to write.
I’m Australian, I love to sing, and Christmas is my favourite time of the year. I believe in magic, fairies, the power of the universe and that everything happens for a reason.
Basically, I’m a crazy person, and I’m ok with that, at least my life is not boring!
