From the moment Cash Walker encounters Layla West, it's
clear she's different than any woman he's ever met. Her bright green eyes and
strong will have him captivated. She's his. Now he just has to convince
her.
After losing her nan, Layla relocates to Hawthorne, Nevada,
with her five-year-old daughter and the desire for a fresh start. What she
hadn't planned on was a cocky, hot-as-hell biker determined to work his way
into her heart.
When danger threatens Layla, Cash will stop at nothing to
protect the family he's claimed, even if it means partnering with a club from
the past in unexpected ways.
This the story of Layla and Cash, the third book in the Ride
Series Second Generation.

Layla moves to Hawthorne, Nevada when her Nan leaves her her house in her will. With her daughter Riley, and taken under the wing of Emmie; her Nan's carer and a daughter of the Knights MC, Layla soon feels like she can really make a new life for herself and Riley. That feeling is just enforced when she sees club brother, Cash, and she is smitten. Their first encounter doesn't go too well though and he ends up coming across as a real ****. Once he realises his mistake though, Cash is quick to try and rectify his poor first impression and sets out to make Layla, and Riley his. Will she be willing to give him a chance though?
This was so good I could not put it down from the minute I started it until I had read the very last word. I loved the characters, the drama, the bedroom action and all the twists that were thrown in too. And don't even get me started on the story I know is coming next, I hope the wait for that isn't going to be too long. I give Cash 5 stars.

What a read this turned out to be! Layla was left her Nan's house, so she and her daughter moved to Hawthorne to start a new chapter in their lives. During this process she makes friends, gets her daughter into school and starts going to the local gym. She also spots Cash Walker, and while she finds him attractive, her new friends have informed her he is not open to more than one night. So she does her best to stay away from him... that is until she somehow gets on Cash's radar and he makes a point to let her know that he wants something more. Can a leopard change his spots? Will Layla be open to letting Cash into her and Ry's life? And when danger starts to pursue Layla, can Cash keep her safe?
This was a really good, faced paced read. I do feel that the writing was a bit different from the first gen books. These second gen books while super good, seem to be missing something that the first series had. I do love Megan O'Brien, maybe its just that I wanted more? Anyways, with some drama, a hot naughty time or two, danger, and some really cute moments, I give this 4.5 stars.
