The first time we meet, I’m eighteen, and he
kicks me out of his bar.
Two years later, he does it again.
Maliki Bridges is the town’s hottest
bartender.
He thinks I’m a spoiled rich girl.
I think he has a stick up his ass.
Once I’m old enough to drink, we become
friends.
Nothing more ...
Until we become roommates.
It’s a bad idea, moving in with him, but any
opportunity I get to be around him I’ll take.
Consequences be damned.

Sierra has crossed paths with Maliki more than once, normally their run ins go as follows: she shows up in his bar, and he kicks her out after some quick witted banter and a little bit of flirting. When she finally is legally in his bar, he of course makes a point of making her a special drink and making conversation, from that point on the two strike up a friendship that borders on something more. But Maliki telling himself that Sierra deserves more and Sierra having an off and off again relationship means they never cross that line. When Sierra's world turns upside down, and Maliki offers her a place to stay for a bit even knowing that it probably is a bad idea. Will the two risk their friendship for something more?
This was soo good! It took me a few to figure out all the major players in this world that Charity Ferrell created, it has been a bit since book four. Once I figured everyone out again, it all came rushing back and that made this an even better read! With some major drama, angst, heartache, betrayal, and some steamy hot naughty bits thrown in, I gave this 5 stars.

Sierra and Maliki have wanted each other ever since she snuck into the bar he owned when she was 18. Already crushing on him beforehand, Sierra became even more smitten and Maliki was pretty enamoured with her too over the following years of her constantly trying to sneak into his pub despite being underage. Once she hit 21 their relationship changed into one where they were friends with possibilities until one day she appeared with a sorta boyfriend in tow. With the pair of them still unwilling to do or say anything about their feelings for each other Sierra saw no reason why not to say yes when Devin proposed, but will that mean leaving Maliki behind or will he finally make the first move and claim her before she says "I do"?
I liked this. We got the slow burn bit while we saw Sierra come of age while keeping Maliki on his toes waiting for her to become legally allowed in his world. Once she got there though the relationship sped up and we got lots of drama, romance and bedroom action to keep us entertained. This was another great addition to this series and I give Just Roommates 4.5 stars.
