So my journey of Caught in the Lies goes as follows; see the blurb and think hmmm this sounds good, no mention of the previous book and this was stated as a standalone. So to get the skinny on the author I check out Goodreads and notice there is another book but I thought it shouldn't be a big deal to read Caught in the Lies by itself. First off, the author is so freaking amazing and included a link to a sort of prologue to this story. Read it, it's free (at least for me it was) and this gives you the whole lowdown on how Cam and Jill begin. So I finished the steamy prologue book and start into this one, and get about 25% in when I give up and decide, nope can't do it. I must read book one (cuz this series is indeed connected and should be listed as a series), so I hurry and one click Caught in the Flames. There was too much of the other characters and back story and all that jazz not to. Now I have finished both (or all three depending on how you look at it) and can I just say, I am so glad that this was sooo much better than book one! 

 Cam and Jill hooked up at a party, and from there a friends with benefits situation begins. But like these situations normally go, feelings start to grow, people start to change and want more. For Jill the idea of something more, something bigger scares her so she does her best to keep Cam at arms length... even though she also has started to have these feelings. For Cam, he wants Jill,  but with Jill pushing him away at every chance, he doesn't see a way that this could work. When it comes down to it, they both find out that they have secrets, the only question is; who's secret has the power to end what they have? 

 This was such a good story, I engulfed this story and am sitting here wanting more! With drama, danger and some really hot naughty bits, this was a very entertaining read. I am so glad that Cam and Jill got their story and am super stoked with how this played out. Now, I was ready for Alicia's story, but after reading that title, I'm not so sure anymore LOL. I give Caught in the Lies 5 stars.
