Taking us back to where it all began,
where we get to see just what the beef (no pun intended) between the McKay
family and the Wests is. Twins Silas and Jonas are identical in their looks but
personality wise couldn't be more different. Silas is all about the land and
making sure that the ranch is thriving. While Jonas is a law man, he helps out with
the ranch but it's not his life and wants more than being a rancher for his
life, but he is there for Silas as he is the only family he has.
Dinah took the job as the
schoolteacher but only has three pupils, in the downtime she works with Doc as
his assistant. That is exactly how she came to meet Silas, patching him up
after a fight. Silas has made it clear that he is wanting to court Dinah, but
the life of a rancher is hard and Silas doesn't have a lot of free time. Will
Silas be able to prove to Dinah that she is a priority?
What an amazing story!!! I loved
going back in time and getting to see where this all started. With drama,
danger, and some really hot naughty bits, I inhaled this story and TBH I would
really love more from this time period even though this wasn't a norm for the
author, I feel she did this perfectly! I give this 5 stars.
