Brooklyn Montgomery hasn't had the easiest life or done things the easy way. Her stubbornness sometimes outweighs her intelligence and forces bad choices. She deals with those choices head on, moving forward until she finds herself back at square one with no one she can trust when a new threat comes for her.
Mark Stone, once took a bullet for Brooklyn. He always forgave her, even overlooked her flaws. He was always there to catch her when she fell, but when he forgets who she is and has to start over will he find he has the same patience for her? Can he keep the killer away from her without knowing all the details?
What happens when both Brooklyn and Mark go missing? Will they be found, or will they be planted six feet under a field of forget-me-nots.

The finale to this trilogy is here. Will Mark get his memory back and will Brooklyn finally take RJ down? These were the questions I had going into this and what a ride we take getting the answers.
Mark doesn’t know if he can trust Brooklyn seeing as things keep happening to make him doubt her and he doesn’t remember their life before he was shot. He’s slowly learning who he is, who she is to him and how to live basically, even having to relearn his role as an NYPD Detective. He understandably struggles with it all and some memory flashes mess with his head even more.
Brooklyn just wants Mark to get better, and following advice from his doctors, she keeps things from him that affect him greatly. It’s incredibly hard though when he’s pushing and pulling her, not sure how to act with her, and the fact that his memory being gone could be the thing that destroys her case in getting RJ sent away for a long time.
When RJ gets out of jail on a technicality, the murders start up again, and now the pair are faced with not only getting on with their lives, whether it be together or apart, but they also have to try to actually stay alive, now that the serial killer with an obsession for Brooklyn is back on the streets.
Wow, so many secrets revealed in this finale, so many twists and OMG moments that it was just crazy at times. I really enjoyed it though and I’m glad it all wrapped up the way it did. Although this was the finale, it was left in a way that the author could probably carry on with it if she so wished. I would recommend reading the Water Series right after, if you haven’t already, as those are Jax and Candice’s story. I’ve read them and really enjoyed them. As for Survived by Brooklyn, I give it 4.5 stars.
