He was the myth and the legend of our small town. But no one knew the truth... except me.
My childhood was stolen by a monster. I’ve forgotten what love feels like. What happiness feels like. What hope feels like. I am numb.
He’s possibly as damaged as I am. Maybe even more. Scarred just as much on the inside as the outside. Just like me. He doesn’t speak. He doesn’t smile. He hides in the woods like an animal. I should be scared of him. But I’m not. He’s the only one that has ever made me feel. And I want to make him feel, too. everything...

So this is the second of the Devils Wolves series but TBH this can be read as a stand alone. Ty is broken, damaged, and a bit scary; when he stumbles upon a horror story in the making, he quickly becomes a hero, a tarnished one. Holly is trying to adjust to real life outside, the only time she feels safe is ironically walking through the woods, listening to the birds and wilderness around. When she runs into Ty again, she knows who he is and without thinking on it, goes back. An unlikely friendship is made, and love is right around the corner; but how can two people so broken, come together and make a whole? How can someone that is damaged ever trust again? Will a promise of a new life away from where people know their story be the only way to make it work?
The blurb for this story gives you no way to prepare for the story that you get! You think you know but you really don't. This was amazing! The twists and turns and the feelings that this story brings out are killer. At some points I wanted to be mad at certain characters but you have to try and see everything from their side, in the end they were still unredeemable. I only wish we got more of a glimpse into their life after it was over. This is a 5 plus plus plus star read!
Born and raised a Jersey girl, I now reside in beautiful New Hampshire with my husband and our multitude of furry pets and spend most of my time writing, reading, and vacuuming.
