This is book three in the Shooting Stars series, and I do highly recommend (not demanding lol) that you read the previous books before jumping into this. With the returning characters, and situations that are mentioned, it would just be easier and less confusing trying to figure out who is who and what is what... make sense? So we got to know Aubrey in book two, and now she is all grown up and dealing with grown up issues... the death of her husband, finding out she is pregnant are the main issues. The one constant in Aubrey's life has always been Denver, before her relationship with Gabe there was a chance for more, but it didn't happen. After Gabe is gone, Denver is right there front and center, helping Aubrey cope, and after Lyra is born helping out and never complaining when he is needed. Can Aubrey open herself up to Denver and the love he has for her? Everyone else sees exactly what the two could be with each other, its not until Denver decides to press the issue that Aubrey lets herself finally see... but is she brave enough to try again?
This was absolutely fabulous! I loved every minute of it, and kind of wish it was longer but there's that greediness I'm always talking about. This deals with a really heavy subject of loss, and dealing with life after. There is some drama, some good sexy times, and an Alpha male that is willing to push boundaries. I give this 5 stars.
