How much weight can a man take on his shoulders before
he buckles?
Blue’s life is
in shambles.
He has to fight off
his MC brotherhood on a drug problem threatening his town, balance his time as
a father while dealing with a vicious custody battle with his ex, and somehow
manage the huge load of responsibilities of his job. All the while, he is
fighting his attraction to the quiet shopkeeper who lives just across the
street from him. The last thing he wants is to take her down with him.
Psalm’s life is
uneventful.
Finally healed
after the heartache of losing her husband, kind-souled Psalm throws herself
into her store and rescuing dogs. Her crush on Blue can be traced back to high
school so many years ago, and even after being widowed, she still carries a
torch for him. From the sidelines, she aches for Blue and his children.
With hercaring nature, she reaches out to him, over and over again, even when
he pushes her away. Is Psalm’s heart strong enough to take on this broken man
and heal him?

(4.5 Stars)
I really liked this one. Blue isn't technically an MC
brother, but he is an "inactive" member as he is the President's son.
He's also the town Deputy. Psalm runs the town's craft type store where she
sells other artists work, as well as the soaps and bath beauty products that
she makes herself. Her high school crush, and neighbour that she gets a perfect
view of every morning, just happens to be Blue and after a few little
interactions the pair begin to talk and a relationship of sorts starts to
blossom.
This was quite sweet as it was as slow burn romance, but it
kept you interested with their interactions and all the other things going on
in their lives that it didn't matter that their relationship was taking its
time. I loved all the dog stuff and the parts with Blue's children. I can't
wait for the next one as I'm really enjoying this series and give Blue 4.5
stars.

We have "watched" Blue's relationship with his wife and the issues that they have had throughout books one and two. Now, Blue is divorced and dealing with custody issues with his crazy ex, while at the same time trying to do his job. He doesn't have the time to devote to even thinking about being with someone new, so for Blue, helping Psalm with her boxes and getting that to go coffee will just have to be enough. But the little shopkeeper is just the calming balm that Blue needs, but Blue not wanting to get burned again means he will put up his guard and keep Psalm at arm's length... but when he decides that she is what he needs will she still be there?
This was a lovely story from ML Nystrom. With drama, danger, some really sad moments that had me sobbing, this was a good read. I give this 4 stars.

Author Bio
ML Nystrom had
stories in her head since she was a child. All sorts of stories of
fantasy, romance, mystery and anything else that captured her interest. A
voracious reader, she’s spent many hours devouring books; therefore, she
found it only fitting she should write a few herself!
ML has spent
most of my life as a performing musician and band instrument
repair technician, but that doesn’t mean she’s pigeon-holed into one
mold. She’s been a university professor, belly dancer, craftsperson, soap
maker, singer, rock band artist, jewelry maker, lifeguard, swim coach, and
whatever else she felt like exploring. As one of her students said to her
once, "Life’s too short to ignore the opportunities." She
has no intention of ever stopping... so welcome to her story world. She
hopes you enjoy it!
