And I do mean the woman of his dreams as Whitney has been the object of his affections since he was 15 years old. Ten years older than Ryan, Whitney is Tank/Trevor’s big sister, Tank being Ryan’s best friend, ex army buddy and current cop partner.

Ten years older than Ryan, Whitney is Tank/Trevor’s big sister, Tank being Ryan’s best friend, ex army buddy and current cop partner.
The alcohol has Whitney lowering her inhibitions and she confesses to Ryan, just what she wants from a man in the bedroom. More than willing to fulfil her desires, the pair head home for a night of passion; Ryan’s dreams finally coming true, but in the morning Whitney can’t get rid of him quick enough. Awww, I really felt for Ryan in the morning. We the reader know what’s going through her mind; he’s so young, he’s her brother’s bestie, she’s still broken after her divorce from her a’hole ex-husband. But all he sees is her regret.
Skip forward six weeks… when a call sees Ryan and Trevor needing to visit the medical clinic they bump into Whitney being given prenatal vitamins. The look of panic on Whitney’s face, tells Ryan that he left more than a piece of his heart behind that night they had together. When he speaks to her later, Whitney seems reluctant to let Ryan take any responsibility, again blaming most of that on his age, but from her actions and mannerisms, he knows from past experiences at work that Whitney’s ex damaged her more than emotionally, and his battle to make her realise just how much he wants to be a part of not only his child’s life, but a part of hers too, just got a little harder.
Will Whitney get over her insecurities? Will she ever see Ryan as more than the boy she thinks of him as, and finally see the man he has become? Will Ryan get the woman he has dreamed of for the past ten years? I enjoyed Renegade and will be looking out for book two. This was a nice story and I give it 4 stars.
