REVIEW ***Debut Release - Moving On by Pavan Kaur releasing May 2nd ***

Release Date: May 2nd 2015

Everyone has a past. For most people their past is their worst nightmare, haunting them day by day. Such a person with a past is Kim Turner. But everything changes when Nicolas Webb comes into her life, and that too without her consent.

Nick on the other hand, is your typical hot shot. With money comes powers and with powers come happiness, or so he thought until he met Kim.

Haunted by her past and stalked in his present, are they destined to be together? Will Kim be able to let go of her past and trust Nick or will Nick just cause another heartbreak?

Moving on is the debut novel from British author Pavan Kaur.

This is the story of Kimberly Turner, who after suffering through something horrendous, is trying to move on with her life. About to graduate from college she's hoping to get taken on permanently by the newspaper she's been working at as an intern. A big part of hopefully securing the position involves an interview with millionaire businessman, Nicholas Webb. Nick instantly takes a shine to Kim and from there the story begins.

As is often the case from a debut, independent author, there were quite a few edit issues throughout. Mainly only minor things like the wrong word used e.g. Brain instead of Brian, a few British words used when the characters are from Chicago, and random full stops and commas. There were also a couple of instances of switching between tenses, for example, the character was about to get into the car and do something (present) but they got in and had done something (past), which although these things didn't take anything away from the story for me I will have to mention them to be as honest as possible.

The story was engaging though, I wanted to carry on reading, in fact I only stopped when I did because it was 1am and I have children to get to school in the morning! The characters were likeable and I'd like to find out what happens to them all. Although I wouldn't exactly say it ended on a cliff-hanger, it was definitely set up for the next book. This is a romance with some suspense in there, not an erotic romance so don't go into it expecting steamy sex scenes.

Overall, I'd give Moving On, 3.5 stars but with the editing issues done, it would be a definite 4 for me. A very good debut from a promising new author.

About the Author

Hello, my name is Pavan Kaur. I am married with two amazing boys.
I have loved reading from a very young age, after reading so many books, my mind started to wander off into its own world.
I finally put that world onto paper and then I fell in love with writing, and have loved it ever since.

What motivated you to become an indie author?
Reading books motivated me a lot, after reading for so long my mind was getting lost in it's own world and when I finally put that world onto paper, I loved writing.

What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
I love writing, I feel a peace when I do write. Yes I do have them days where I want to throw my laptop across the room, but I think everyone does.Writing for me to a way to writing about falling in love, feeling happy and helping someone with my story.

What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
My children, they are my world and getting out of bed everyday to watch them plat, or listen to them talk is the one think that I am most grateful for.

When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
Baking, I love to bake it takes my mind of other things. My sons help me bake cookies all the time.
Shopping, I won't lie I have no money because the shops take it from me :)

What is your e-reading device of choice?
Kindle, I have two, why I have two I don't really know. My reasoning is one brakes I have a back up.

What's the story behind your latest book?
Moving On has been a story that I have been working on for a long time, it all started after watching a T.V show. I just couldn't get it out of my mind, the more I thought about it the more ideas I was getting in my head. Then one day I thought about writing it all down, the more I wrote the more I loved what I was writing. The next thing I knew I had a story, and that is the story behind Moving On.
