REVIEW~ Cinderfella by Xavier Neal

Release date: May 6, 2015

Perfect body. Perfect car. Perfect life. So, what could a girl like that ever want from a guy like me? The guy with holes in his sneakers. The guy who can barely afford to eat. The guy with an unexpected secret. What could a princess like that want from me? After all fairy tales don't exist in real life...do they?

Let me start with, I don't typically like NA books, I don't know why, I just don't. But this book, this book here, totally changed my views! I have read a couple of stories from Xavier Neal before and found them really good. Great characters, sexual tension that you as the reader could feel, dialogue was not lacking. I've never walked away going, what just happened?  Well, this story was the same thing; I loved the dialogue between the characters, I would forget they were in high school, and thought more college.

Connor has been dealt a crap life. At the age of 18 he is dealing with stuff that normal 18 year old's don't even worry about, and had already been doing it for a couple years now. It was really sad to see just how hard he actually had it, pulling on my heart strings as a mother and me personally thanking God that I am doing things right, but......not everything goes according to plan now does it? After Connor's world falls apart due to his father's death and some other choices that have been made, he is now on a track that will get him a better life hopefully!

But it's all about the scholarships, and in his theater class he is paired with the one student that he  internally begged not to be paired with, Gianna.

Gianna  a rich, spoiled, seemingly has it all, 18 year old who does everything she can think of to piss Connor off so that he will drop her as a partner. This doesn't work however, and the two then have to start this long process of being nice to each other, which leads to learning about each other, and in the natural progression of things feelings start to arise. Not going to give any spoilers as I want you to experience this the way I did, with no clue what you just got yourself into, LOL, but seriously that's' what I did.

But I can say, I do not regret this read, at all. I loved the growth the characters went through during this book. This was a true Cinderella switch up, and honestly it's the first I have read where the guy is poor, and the girl is rich. This was actually a very nice change, IMO.

My only complaint is there wasn't an epilogue!  I mean seriously, I need to know what happens after. Which leads me to think this may end up being a series. I'm going to give this 4.5 MJ stars.

Pick a copy of Cinderfella up, you will not be sorry!
