I was never meant to have a happily ever after. It was a fate I accepted a long time ago. Before he came for me, taking away who I am, I needed to escape. Just for one night. One man turned my entire world upside down. I should have walked away, but something about him wouldn’t let me. Now I’m lying to him. He’s going to find out the truth, or my life will catch up to me. Either way, I lose him. It’s a thought I can’t bear. People have always told me love is amazing and powerful. They’re wrong. It makes you weak…exposing your vulnerabilities…making you easy prey. Love is heinous.

(4.5 Stars)
Twisted and Nikki's story is book two of the Deathstalkers MC series, so while you will get to meet these characters more thoroughly by reading book 1 first, I personally don't feel you NEED to, as none of what happened in book one affects this story at all.

After sharing a carefree moment that ends in them getting arrested, Twisted and Nikki's story moves very fast. He's adamant he's going to have her, while she knows she's on a deadline and so is determined to make the most of every moment she has.

Nikki was so fiercely independent, it was quite funny just how much she didn't let Twisted boss her around, and when he did, her reaction to it was usually hilarious.  These two were a great pair, and their chemistry was just perfect.

I really enjoyed Heinous. Fast paced with some MC and non-MC drama, humour, hot sexy times, action and even a little suspense thrown in there; trying to figure out what secrets are being kept. This is so far a brilliant series and while I said that you don't NEED to read Corrupted (Book 1), I definitely suggest you do because it's so good. For a few small things, I still can't quite give it a 5 though, so like book one, I'm giving Heinous 4.5 stars.

Alexis Noelle lives in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with her husband, and three kids. On top a writing career, she is a full-time student and a full-time mom. She loves spending time with her kids, although she has to hide the computer from them when she is writing! She love being active and being outdoors, especially if it involves any kind of shopping.
She has always been passionate about writing. She loves to read romance books and feels like being able to lose yourself in a book is one of the more exciting aspects. The books she loves to read and write will be ones that make you feel for the characters. Ashley believes that you should have an opinion on every character in a book whether you love them, hate them, or think they are up to something. She also believes that the most important critic is your reader, so she loves to hear from the readers. She want her fans to be open & talk to her about what they want for the characters in the story, and what they would like to see happen.
