There is a war going on, and Zio is right smack in the middle of it. Wolves, northern pack versus the southern ones, a divide that has gone on for so long that now, no one really knows why there is a fight, it just is. With the loss of their healer and his best friend, Zio is a bit lost. When he gets a moment to cut loose he ends up having a drunken moment with a stranger that makes him feel things he doesn't understand. Zio's first thought when he sees the new healer that was sent, it's the man from the drunken hookup, and his second... he is not a wolf. Now Zio has to fight a pull he has no understanding in, fight to win a war, while trying to keep everyone safe. Will he succeed? Or will this pull be his downfall?
This was an ok shifter story, more of a love in war time story. With some drama, danger, violence, and a few naughty moments, I give this 3.5 stars.
